This Piping-Material Engineering Utility (v.2004 ed.) was developed by Roderick Paulino for Piping/Material Engineering Project to automatically create a line class table and a branch chart for line class specification development. Useful for front-end engineering and Class 5 material estimate. However, this is not a substitute of PIP standard and need updates on the current ASME codes and standards.
Sample of finalized Carbon Steel Line Specification for model development and detail engineering phase. Depending on the project, the range of pipe sizes for Socket Welds and Butt Welds may differ which need to take into account including the TYPE of fluid service.
Printed Line Class detail (Material Specification) ready for Piping Design and detail engineering and material management.
This interface with PDS was developed by the author (Roderick Paulino) to create a preliminary Line Class Specs as part of Reference Data for 3D modeling based on the finalized piping material class ready for model development.
This can be used for procedural content generation and can be used to develop the algorithm and to train a Machine Learning model.
Additional pipe fittings.
Valve operators and handwheel.
Codes for Long and Short Description and model code including the symbol associated with the material.
Another piping classification of materials for modeling.
For weight calculation of pipe fittings.
End preparation of Pipe Ends (weld ended, plain, flanged ends, threaded or socket ends).
This is a 2" pipe segment socket welded fittings with Shop and Field materials. Shop materials are assembled at fabrication shop before shipping it to the construction site. Field materials are materials to be installed at site by pipe fitter or contractor. NOTE that weld numbers are not indicated in this drawing. Weld numbers are used to track Non-Destructive Testing of all weld points at shop and at site. Flow Element indicated as FE-20074 and pipe support guide are to be installed at site. Also note that this pipe segment is included as part of a modular piperack.
BILL OF MATERIALS
The selected piping component is a 8"-dia Normally-Closed 300# Raced-Face flanged type control valve with motorized valve actuator insulated with 100mm thickness of insulating material (check the line list) with Electrical Trace in Hydrogen Manufacturing Unit. This application is using Hexagon's Smartplant Review depicting gear mounted handwheel orientation to make sure that the valve is accessible and conforms operability from the platform.
ACTUAL HYDROGEN MANUFACTURING PLANT
Never seen before "Plant Design System Utility" that could generate 1000 PDS models in just less than 20 minutes. This utility connects to pd schema on Oracle9i database. Tested and proven in large mining, petrochemical and oil-gas multimillion projects. This application was designed and developed by Roderick Paulino in 2006.
